Pentax Digital Cameras

Pentax is a name known in Japan and the world as a high-quality camera for those who want very high quality pictures and easy-to-use features. It hasn't captured as much attention to itself as the Nikon series of digital cameras or the Canon Series but Pentax can easily be put in a class of cameras equal to or even superior to those other well-known brands. The PENTAX K20D has a much-touted CMOS image sensor with 14.6 working megapixels. This assures incredibly fine image quality with a super sharpness you have to see to believe. Its super-high resolution will naturally make it much easier to crop captured images or turn them into very large-size prints.

Developed from PENTAX's unceasing pursuit of higher image quality, the K20D is a bundle of state-of-art digital SLR camera allowing a good photographer to do things he never though possible. Serious amateurs and beginning photography professionals cannot go wrong with this camera.

The other high-end Pentax worth your time and money to look into is the tough K200D. Despite its compact dimensions, the K200D has a dependable dust-proof, water-resistant body, with a total of 60 special seals applied to the body. You're equipped for active shooting in harsh conditions - even in sand, dust or water splashes. By coupling the K200D with the optional D-BG3 Battery Grip, you can create a totally dependable dust-proof, water-resistant digital camera system.

It's 2.7-inch, wide-view LCD monitor with 230,000 dots makes viewing comfortable and details easy to see and its SR or Shake resistant technology makes it perfect to use with a handgrip for weddings and other events that don't lend themselves to setting up tripods easily and work especially well with zoom or telephoto lenses. The SR resistant feature makes it perfect for serious amateurs shooting sports events or weddings and professionals who want a quick versatile way to take pictures on the fly or while chasing celebrities.

On the low end, Pentax also has an excellent lineup that includes the Optio V20, Optio M50, Optio E50, Optio A40, Otio V10, and the Optio Z10. The A40 has the largest number pixel resolution capability at 12 megapixels.

Finally, Pentax includes a wide variety of excellent and durable interchangeable lenses in 35mm-format ranging from the smc PENTAX-DA 16mm-45mm F4 ED AL, which is developed exclusively for use with PENTAX digital SLR cameras.
