Digital camera reviews can be found everywhere it seems. It seems everyone has an opinion of the latest cameras. They can be found in magazines, newspapers, online and even on television shows. Since most of the reviews out there praise each and every digital camera on the market, it is no wonder why we are confused as to which one to purchase either for ourselves or the ones we love.

Here is one review about digital cameras that we should never learn to trust. We should not trust those that come straight from the manufacturer of a certain digital camera. Why not? Because these types of reviews only concentrate on the good points of the cameras. Nothing is said about the drawbacks or glitches with their products. This only stands to reason, as it is the job of the manufacturers and the producers to create more sales for their digital cameras, not less! You should also never trust a press release because they are only half-truths. These are aimed to not only give their product a good name but to boost sales.

Something else that you cannot put your full trust in are advertisements and the home shopping networks. They fall into the same category as press releases. They aim to give their digital camera a good name in an effort to boost sales. However, you can get the digital camera and then if it does not perform to your satisfaction you can always return it. This is a pure waste of time and effort on your part.

So, then, where are the best digital camera reviews to be found? They are to be found in specialty magazines which are computer based and technical in nature. They are also to be found in special websites which cater to techie stuff and you can also read the unofficial digital camera reviews. Why? The one good reason is that these reviews about digital cameras are always truthful.

The critics and reviewers of the digital camera list not only the good points of the camera but the bad ones as well. Reviews like these usually point out the differences of a manufacturer's products and how it may be better or worse than the previous one. These reviewers of the digital camera know more of what they are talking about since they are more knowledgeable about the general subject of digital cameras. Much of the time, these reviews are based on first hand experiences with a particular digital camera, and are not just based on some flowery words of an advertising agent.

Do you happen to know what another very good source for a digital camera review is? It is none other one that you write yourself! How would you do that? What you first need to do is to buy you own digital camera. Then you need to try it out. Compare everything you are able to do with it to what the camera claims to be. Be sure to read all about the options and features that your digital camera has so that you can try each one out. After you have done all of this then you should be pretty proficient at writing your own digital camera review. Make sure that you make known in your review that you are speaking from on-hand experience and are not speaking from the top of your head.

Remember, the most honest reviews about digital cameras are the ones you can trust. And the ones you can trust; perhaps a Consumer Reports digital camera magazine issue review are few and far between.
